Fishing Reel, unique One of a Kind! This rod was hand crafted for it's owner a 6 piece hardwood rod makes 3 different lengths of fishing rods. My guess is the hardwood is mahogany. (The section that is a darker color is the same wood, just stained darker.) One minor flaw, we attempted to show, the shortest section (middle on most of rods) in the narrow end the metal piece is jagged. Flaw won't affect use and can probably be glued down, however we like this "is as from the owner". The wood in this rod is BEAUTIFUL! The metal appears to be brushed silver but I can not be sure. Lengths of each piece approximately : 38 1/2", 38", 36 1/2", 19". 18", the tip is 19 3/4". Glass agate guides, barrell style on the main rod portion, metal encassed barrell. Offset casting on one tip, the other rod tip is a center tip. Tan windings in excellent shape. Can be used for shallow water fishing up to surf rod. Age unknown, could be as late as the 60's but as early as the 40'2. WONDERFULLY UNIQUE. One of a kind.Fishing rods lures reel fishing rods rods |
