Black Americana linens are difficult to find in good condition.This one is in very good condition, laundered gently. No stains, no rips. The towel is 26" long and 15 1/2" wide. Each end has a wonderful Mammy approximately 8 1/2" tall carrying a tray of 3 steaming bowls of soup or other hot broth. She appears to be singing as noted by the musical notes above her left shoulder. The scarf is pink with yellow the pink is carried over to the tray beneath the bowls, Her top is green with white polka dots, yellow long skirt and burgandy apron ,she carries a pink towel in her left hand, She is wearing black shoes. Along the side borders are 6 individual bowls of steaming broth. The bottom edges are trimmed in two rows of green and one burgandy, above that is a row of green circles. SHIPS FOR $9 |
