Black Americana folk art boy doll home made with love. The best of folk art, these dolls were generally made by the mother for her children, or for the children she was paid to care for. He is probably from the late 40s or ealy 50s. Often price is determined by "additional" features such as the fact he has a thumb. He is made of cotton and felt feet that need a "fuzz buster" his yellow pants appear to have some acrylic fibers so likely early 50s. His curls are of black yarn and his white cap is a bit dirty and nappy.His facial features are wonderful, hand embroidered with an unusally big red grin and big eyes with added features.
