Manufacturer: Frederick D Ogden
Frederick D. Ogden spent most of his working career in Chicago, Illinois. This nice vintage piece of art is in very collectible condition and this size Ogden print is more sought after than the very common 9" x 12" mountain and lake scene prints that are often seen.
This Painting is not a work by a major artists but rather a decorative paintings of interest to the average collector. (Hopefully that is me and you!)
The frame itself shows knicks on the edges and as you can see the white marks show chips in the frame However the GESSO seems intact. The frame is worth a lot in itself. Canvas appears to be 1/2" thick with the frame around 2" thick.
The corner in very tiny writing is the date and publisher I think but I can't read it. One the same size is listed for "SOLD" at auction for $302.
