Rosina Pink & Yellow Roses on black w/gold c&s. Porcelain. England. c. 1952+. Dramatic pink, magenta & yellow roses pop from the black ground on this bold floral cup & saucer. The colors of the flowers & buds, as well as the light green of the leaves, are all hand painted over the white spaces of the black background transfer. There are also gold accent leaves. Saucer well is white with a thick gold ring. Cup interior is white. Hand painted gilt edges; band & ring on cup interior; band at cup foot; solid gilt handle. Lightly scalloped edges. CONDITION: Excellent (pings; a couple of tiny spots of wear to gilt). Bold & dramatic. |
