Shelley Butterfly Covered Deco Butter Dish. Pottery. England. c. 1922. Very unusual & rare covered butter dish. Entirely hand painted. A deep, vibrant red-orange covers the top of the lid & the border of the dish.
The lid handle is black as is the ground for the butterflies. They are done in yellow & pale green.
The white is where it was left unpainted. CONDITION: Excellent (some touches of paint loss)
