Copeland pink grass demi cup & saucer. Porcelain. England. c. August 31, 1869. Beautiful & subtle relief molding highlights this lovely mid-nineteenth century demitasse cup. The sole decoration is the raised grasses which are hand painted in shades of pink with a deep rose used as highlighting & shading. This makes a lovely contrast against the cool white ground of the body. The grasses sprout from around the handle. CONDITION: Excellent - some wear to gilt (pings). Very sweet.
