Hand painted demi-tasse cup & saucer. England. c. 1891-1920. "Indian Tree" pattern. Ivory ground. Edged in a dark taupe. Bronze-gilt line on outside edge of handle on cup. Hand painted with 8 colors: pink, darker pink, dark blue, lighter blue, green, yellow, olive & bronze-like. The shape is sort of "octo-foil" - a wavy eight sided form.

| The cup tapers from wider at the top to narrow at the bottom. The saucer is somewhat deep and slopes toward the center. Marked in green under glaze. On the saucer, there is also a "4" in green under glaze as well as an impressed "68H13". CONDITION: Good / Very Good (crazing, no chips or cracks) |
