RS Prussia Narcissus cake platter. Porcelain. Germany. Unmarked, R.S. Prussia. c. 1900s. (RSP Mold 256). Large cake platter with tabs. Approximately 11.5" handle to handle. Relief molded in the form of a flower with 8 ‘petals’. Pale green, very high luster, with white narcissus & touches of yellow; deeper green leaves. The colors are vibrant & strong. Hand painted gold outlining, stems & highlights in over glaze. Gilt edged and gilt sponged. (Pictured in the Marples’ "R.S. Prussia The Art Nouveau Years" p. 31, plate 100, w/different decoration).
