I call her "Oh my aching back" but this country maiden is clearly content with her lot in life. Picking up the morning rolls I would imagine, from the size of the basket. Stress crack in base, but otherswise amazingly intact. Stamped 2666/532/3, initalled Hig.

AUSTRIAN GOLSCHEIDER DIANA WITH BORZOI 24x8(base)" Austrian Goldscheider Diana with borzoi. This towering piece depicts beautiful, strong Diana, the Huntress taking aim with her faithful borzoi as companion. The piece dates to about 1912. She wears a simple pale pink shift, and has a yellow quiver of arrows slung over her shoulder. Her bow is missing. Signed 'Latour,' and numbered '4164-224-8' and stamped with the Golscheider seal, and has the Roman numerals 'XIV DI.' Excellent condition.
