16.5x9x5" Very large, sexy, beautiful and rare, uniquely hand sculpted, almost impressionistic, Gypsy/ Spanish dancer. Mint condition, factory marked, Rosenthal, Selb, initialed L.F.G., incised 1785, 14. Designed by sculptress Lore Freidrich-Gronau (German, 1908-2002) for Rosenthal, porcelain, Germany; L.F.G.. Lore Friedrich-Gronau was a sculptures, ceramist and book illustrator. She worked for Rosenthal from 1937 until 1961. During that period she designed more than 40 figurines, e.g. 'Lilian Harvey', 'Ballet' and the sculpture 'Madonna with Child'.
