| Rachel seems to fancy this traveler, while her sister Leah looks on disdainfully. One friend seems to enjoy Rachel's delight, the other has an, (your asking for trouble look) & is ignoring it. The painting has been remounted on masonite board, is in excellent original condition, has no signature, possibly lost during the preservation. The frame is old, (not as) & has also been restored to fit the painting. Probably from an old Synagogue. I've included a closeup of the fabric to show you it's antiquity. |
