4.5 x 2.5 x 2.5" I found this in a curio shop in Florida, where its from is anyones guess. Petrified wood is found in every state, the best being in Arizona. This fascinating piece is a unique geological moment frozen forever. The core being a purplish brown petrified wood, the outer layers, carbonized wood, (coal) and fossilized mossy roots run throughout the piece. I wish it could talk.
