14x9x9" Rare in form, monumental in size, a vintage Rose medallion lidded vase. This piece has beautiful birds of paradise, butterflies, fruit, gorgeous flowers, a fine example of mid 19th century Chinese porcelain. It also has the six character Xianfeng reign mark (1850-1863). The imperial kilns were destroyed during the Taipei Rebellion in about 1850 and not rebuilt until Xianfeng was dead and the Tongzhi emperor took his place. Hence, not a lot of mark and period Xianfeng porcelain is around. I cannot say with certainty whether this is mark & period or not. It is however, a very well done & detailed piece. Pristine condition.
