12x4.5x4.5 First 1/2 20th century, Qianlong marked, cream white porcelain story vases. "Dreaming in the Red Palace" As I understand it, the classic story is about a heart broken poor girl (jade girl) , longing , heartbroken on a late spring night, for the "fragrance" of her aristocratic heart throb, as his class peer future wife, waits. Beautifully executed piece, with delicate features, subtle shadings, & scraffito glaze outlines. A fine, fine pair. Pristine condition.
