Circa: 2001
56 x 57.5" Large & early mixed Media Kcho Painting, "La Inocencia de mis Suenos," (The innocence of my dreams) Signed with certificate of authenticity, by Alexis Leyva Machada (Kcho), 2001. Here you see the Russian built, 'Monument to the Revolution" floating out to sea, with denuded vegetation symbolizing the failure of Castro's Communism. Fidel, noticing Kcho's growing popularity & anti Communist themes, granted him a beautiful home near the beach in Miramar, & travel privileges, hoping to dilute his Anti Communist themes. Kcho is now suffering from artistic burnout & is working construction on one of Cuba's many islands. This painting has familial connections, coming from a Florida family that knows Kcho's mother. Auction appraisal $20,000.-$25,000. Not stretched. |
