4 x 3.5 x 13.5" Vintage 1980s Purple Striped Glass Vase by Kit Karbler and Michael David. Working in collaboration since establishing Blake Street Glass, their studio in Denver, Colorado, Karbler and David have challenged conventional ideas of fine art glass sculpture vs. functional glassware with their award-winning work in the medium.
This piece features a cut-away, prismatic form, revealing different views of the suspended purple stripe pattern, highlighted by alternating vertical sections of smooth and acid etched surface texture; all signature details of the duo's glasswork.
Signatures of both artists etched into the bottom, along with the number 68461. Excellent Condition. |
