Vintage Wooden American Folk Art Doll

Size: 12 H x 4½ W at the arms x approx. 2 D

Condition: very good

Markings: None

Age: 20th Century

The head and torso are one piece of wood. The arms and legs are connected
to the torso. One would have to remove the dress and bloomers to see just
how this is done. The articles of clothing are not made to be removed. I have not removed them - so do not know just how they are connected. The hands and arms are one piece as are the feet with the legs.

Dress and bloomers are made of a cotton like material

Features and granny shoes are ( I believe) painted on.

Folk Art Wooden Santa - Signed

Size: 8-1/4 Inches T x 4 Inches W x 2 Inches D.

Condition: Very Good. Please note that the Santa is made from a portion of a branch. This has many splits in it. The piece is stable and was fashioned from the branch after the splits occurred. This adds to the charm of this piece.

The Santa has been hand painted and signed: K STOYANOWSKI

Unique Vintage Handmade Budweiser Male Figure - Naughty

Vintage Wooden Male Peg Doll With Parisian Style

Size: 14 H x 2½ W

Condition: very good - the toe of the right boot is sheared off. There are a few minor nicks consistent with age.

Weight: 4 Oz's.

Handmade and painted.

Found in New York State

Age: First half of the 20th Century.

Arms and legs held by tiny nails.

A handsome fellow with his beret.

Please note that he is not freestanding.  

Vintage 1900's Style Male Mannequin Head


Size: Approx. 13½ H x 5½ W x 7½ D

Condition: Good Condition issues: The nose is somewhat bruised, there are several worn spots on the back of the head and neck. There is also a crack on his right side from the hole down to the bottom. All of this is shown in the photos. The mannequin is in stable condition. The wear is consistent with age.

Age: 1950's

Material: My best guess is it is made of a thin wood with composition layered over it. Note: There are two holes on either side of the neck about one inch from the bottom. The mannequin was made with these holes, I suppose to attach the head and neck to either a body or of some display.

This fellow is a nicely decorated, with old material & period colors applied to give him his old-time Barber Shop Quartet look. All his detailed features are intact. He is also a nice piece of Folk Art.
 

Old Fashion Wooden Saint Nick - Folk Art

Size: 7 Inches Tall x 4 Inches Wide x 1 Inch Depth.

Hand Painted & Hand Made. The back is painted black. His cane is made of a small branch or twig.

Weight: 4 Oz's.

Condition: Very Good

Age: 1980's

Origin: Outerbanks of North Carolina.

Free standing. A very good looking piece.  

19th Century Skittles - Folk Art

Vintage Soldier/Sailor Skittle Set

Vintage Figural Wooden Letter Holder - Folk Art

Age: 1920's.

A Handmade and painted figural pinewood Letter Holder.

Size: 5 H x 4 W x 2 3/8 D

Condition: Good There are paint splashes on background and pen. The white paint on neck is worn and there are two splits in the wood in the front. This does not weaken the holder. There are also nicks in the wood. Obviously this piece has been used well over the years. She is still a very handsome and unusual piece and would be an unusual addition to a desk or collection. Please note that she is not crooked in the photo of the total item, just the picture taker.

Americana Wooden Folk Art w/Top Hat - Stars and Flag

FOLK ART WOODEN TUG BOAT - VINTAGE. This is a unique find from rural Montana. I am unsure of what this piece was made for (toy or model) but its age is vintage. It looks like American Folk Art and I would guess it is from the mid 20th Century. Size: 8 Inches L x 6-3/4 Inches T x 3 Inches D. Condition: Good overall. There is one very small chip on the bottom of the Smoke Stack. The patina is wonderful. Weight: 1+ lbs.  

FOLK ART WOODEN TOW TRUCK - VINTAGE & HANDMADE

This piece was intended (we think) for advertising a Road Service in Rural Montana. The bottom is stamped RHODE LAKE SERVICE. There are dual wheels on the back of the truck. The hubcaps & Tall piece on the back are made of metal.

Size: 6-1/2 Inches L x 4 Inches H x 3-1/2 Inches W.

Condition: Good. It is solidly built. One of the back pieces (the wrench?) has the major piece missing. There is some paint loss consistent with age. The wheels roll easily.
