The Coptic Church was well organized in Egypt and split from mainstream Christendom in 451 A.D. Hand crosses such as this were made by monks to be carried by leaders of the Coptic Church in processions and used in various religious rites

Size: Approx. 6-1/2 L x 2 W at the wheel.

Condition: Very Good.

Handsome design on both the wheel and the handle.  

Vintage India Figural Brass Letter Opener

Size: 8¾ H x 1 W

Condition: very good - nice patina

Weight: 2 Oz's.

Markings: INDIA incised on the back of the blade. Interesting Indian male bust forms the handle. The back of the blade is smooth. The back of the handle indented with the form of the outline of the bust.

From the private collection of a person who traveled extensively in India.

This is an older brass box with a hinged lid.

Condition: Solid used condition. The metal has darkened in places and is darkened inside.

Solid Brass Repousse Bowl - Pewter Colored With Brass Colored Accents

Size: 3-1/4 Inches H x 31 Inches in Circumference.

Condition: Good to Very Good. There is one dimple to the right of the tassels and discoloration to the rim color underneath. This is not visible with the bowel on display on a table or shelf.

Origin: India

Weight: A shade over 2 lbs.

There is patina on the golden rope edging.

Age: 20th Century  

Vintage Whimsical Brass Owl Tray

Size: 5-3/8 inches H x 3-6/8 inches W x 6/8 of an inch D

Condition: It is in good used condition with the expected small discolorations and light dings but w/o major problems.

Markings: MADE IN HONG KING is incised on the back bottom tail feathers.

Weight: 3 oz.

There is an attractive incised design for the features and the eyes are recessed which adds more definition to them.
 

Brass Bell - King Figural Handle

Very nice detail to the figural handle. Bell has clapper and there is a very nice ring to it.

Vintage Italian Brass Metal Frame

Size: Approx. 5-1/2 H x 4 W - The Photo Size is Oval in Shape and measures: 3 H x 2¼ W

There is a picture of an elegant lady of probably the 18th Century in the frame. The photo is under glass.

Condition: Very Good

There is an easel style on the back for display. The Frame Design is very detailed and elegant. The open work lets the felt like dark blue material show through to add an antique like elegance.

Weight: 7 Oz's.

Origin: Made in Italy. This is stamped on the back of the frame.

Vintage Brass Floral Centerpiece w/Ashtrays

Size: 6 H x 9 W x 8½ D - Ashtrays: 4 L x 1¾ W.

Metal: This is either Brass or a Brass Plated Antiqued Metal Piece.

There are no markings or signatures.

The Centerpiece is composed of a flower (of which the petals lift off and become 6 ashtrays, with one cigarette lip each.) The Flower is very detailed with metal petals & metal pieces to give the impression of style, ovaries, anthers & filaments. The flower is on a stem with two leaves. Please note that the petals rest securely while placed on a table or horizontal place, but when picked up and carried they will fall off if not carried with much care.

Condition: Good to very good. There are no cracks or chips. The metal is antiqued.

Weight: 1-1/4 lbs.

This is a very good-looking piece.
