Wooden Carved Figure

The origin of this figure is unknown as well as the age. There is nice patina and the figure displays well.

Size: 8¼ H x 1½ W x 1½ D

Condition: Good - there is a chip in the headdress area and abrasions on the body. The stain is partially worn off? or deliberately stained that way? There is a hole on the bottom middle piece which can be used to display with a stand.

Wood: this is a soft wood

Weight: 2½ Oz.

I acquired this figure on the East Coast. It has the feeling of Native American or Tribal Art. Very nice presence.

Native American Carved Mystery Figure/ Kachina?

Size: 2½ H x 1 W x ½ D

Condition: very good

Weight: 1 Oz.

Material: Undetermined - Could be bone or faux ivory

Age: Unknown

The figure has been created in two parts then glued together. Front to back. I am not positive but the horns and mouth appear to have been
created from the main piece of the body.

If this is a Kachina?, I could not identify it. The piece has a case or sack mask with horns on either side of mask. Tube mouth and round eyes. I do not know what the ruff around the neck indicates. It goes completely around the neck. The round eyes and the blue design on the upper body are created by engraved indentations and stained blue. There is a hole drilled through the side of the neck through and through for possibly a very fine cord?

I would almost think of this as a fetish?

This piece was found in Colorado

Pair of Vintage Metal pre-Columbian Style Masks - Inca Style
These very handsome masks were found at the Indian Market in Lima, Peru in the 1970's.
Size: Left: 8 H x 6½ W - Right: 7 H x 6½ W
Condition: Very good. Please note that the copper colored metal is dulled by patina - not shiny as in the photo. The photo is brightened by the lighting.
I believe these could be polished if so desired. The right one is slightly bent at the top right. Probably could be straightened if so desired. They are in the condition that I found them in with somewhat more patina. I found them
in the Indian Market Place in Lima, Peru in the 1970's. There is a ring attached to each for hanging.

Weight: ¾ lb. for both.

pre-Columbian Style Wooden Male Figure
Hand-carved and Painted With Beaded accents

Size: 16 H x 4 W x 3½ D

Condition: very good - the figure is not free standing.
It can be displayed by standing and leaning
it against the back of a cabinet or wall.

Age: Thought to be mid to late 20th Century

He has painted long black hair and is wearing a painted blue, green,
and red cape. He is also wearing a painted blackloincloth.
Geometric designs in the loincloth were incised after painting;
the eyes and eyelids were incised first and then painted. Wonderful detail
in the bead jewelry and metal nose plate. Earrings and bracelets
are attached by a string run through tiny holes drilled in the figure.
The necklace/breastplate and metal nose plate are
attached by string to metal staples
