Metal Head (Pewter?) with Wooden Flat Blade.
Age: 19th Century.
Size: 13½ L - Head is 2 W x 2½ H. Blade is: 11 L T x Approx. 3/4 inch W.
Condition: Good. There is wear on the blade consistant with age and use. The head is I believe solid Pewter? There are markings in the metal either from use or in manufacture.
Origin: England.
The face is of an angry man with an insect on his forhead. I would guess that this had some significance at the time it was manufactured. The head is solidly attached to the blade. |
