Cicero August, is a Coast Salish master carver for over forty years. His work as a carver reflects the traditional Coast Salish designs. Cowichan Band, a tribe that mainly inhabits the southern region of British Columbia.
A Soul Catcher was a device used by a Shaman to retrieve souls as a cure for some illnesses caused by a malignant spirit. The Shaman was a member of a tribe who acted as a medium between the visible world and an invisible spirit world. He used his techniques for healing.
