The Frankoma collectibles store that is always open. Click on the photographs below for a more detailed view. Frankoma first used "Ada" Clay which was a light tan. In 1954, "Sapulpa" brick red clay was used. Another change in 1970 brought a more subtle appearance with its Australian rutile added to the glaze. Frankoma began using an additive in the 1980's to strengthen the clay which gives which caused the clay to lighten to a redish pink color.
