Doulton Burslem RARE Spanish Ware Ewer. Circa 1879-1902. 6 1/4 inches wide. Incredible and impressive in its beautiful, delicate detail with rich colors on the flowers, leaves and backgroud. Flowers and leaves have a lovely gold outline. Base, handle and rim have gilt decoration as well. Black backstamp contains Doulton Burslem, initials HB or HDB, incised numbers X12A, incised & Doulton. Condition WAS extremely good with fine age crazing overall and only minor wear to guilding on handle w/1/4 line of extra glaze, tiny fleabite under base. NO cracks or hairlines that we can find. HOWEVER, (and I'm still heartbroken about this) in our move to a new home, this piece's spout tip was, cleanly, broken off. It is straight-line. clean break. We do have the piece and it can be repaired easily. We do not do repairs here. So now, I must reduce the price of this treasure. Remember, it's easily repaired. The photograph shows the tip when it was perfect and can look that way again. This incredible pitcher is well worth the price of repair. Reduced price! Was $499.95 when it was in perfect condition. It again breaks my heart to offer this at hundreds below our purchase price! We had reduced to $175.00. Take advantage of the soft economy. Item Number: v1813rdbur
