Friedrich F. Boehle 1873-1916 woodblock print
Born in Emmendingen,Germany, study of art in 1886 at the Städtlische Kunstschule in Frankfurt and studied briefly in Munich in 1892.He worked as a painter, sculptor,graphic artist,and his work ranged from portraits and landscapes to calendar art and posters, but he was best known for genre scenes in the German tradition and ignored modernist modes of art. This piece of Art was found in one of the most important German family’s located in Bergen County, N.J. and is dated 1910. The piece was found in the original old frame and measures approximate 24 ½ inches high-25 ½ inches wide. Although in the original frame,this rare piece of art deserves a much better presentation.
