A BEAUTIFUL RING that looks for all the world like rubies and diamonds--the rubies are just that; the 'diamonds' are (according to my gemologist) white sapphires. All the stones are natural--nothing manmade here--and set in 10K yellow gold, which makes it DURABLE and AFFORDABLE. The rubies are a bluer red than the scan. If you like precious jewelry, you will LOVE this ring. Marked 10K and a maker's mark--TXI??? Unsure of the age...it's so classic it could be anywhere from 40s to yesterday. It's currently a size 8, and the condition is perfect.

Naturalistic figural Gloriosa lily (a tropical tuberous climber) beautifully crafted in 10K rose gold 7 tiny cut garnets. I only hope the scan conveys some of the fine detail--this workmanship on this is VERY nice. Even the BACK is beautiful, with a flawless high polish. Marked ZEETA and 385. A wonderful gift for a gardener or flower arranger.

This would be a really sweet ring for a teenage girl, or a fun stack ring. I'm calling this as a 40s ring because of the rose gold color. It's about a bazillion little diamonds set into a white gold rosette, which is then mounted in a rose gold Tiffany setting. It's showy and fun! Currently a size 7.

Grandma or great-grandma had Bohemian garnet jewelry. Sometime in the 1940s this gal inherited them, ripped them apart (OH NO!!!) and set the central cabachon into a modern rose gold setting! It did make a charming and very unusual ring! It's 10K ROSE gold, a size 6, and very very pretty.

The Duchess of Windsor was I believe responsible for popularizing the square-cut amber stone. Hers were precious topaz--lesser mortals like you and I made do with the citrine, sold as 'topaz'in its day. It, along with the amethyst and aquamarine (precious now, plentiful and cheap then), came in nice big crystals and could be sold at a fairly moderate price. This one is a lovely champagne color, over an inch long and a half-inch wide. It's mounted in a wonderful rose gold basket setting. This was a cocktail or dinner ring, worn out in the evening. It is in impeccable condition.

These ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS pierced earrings are finely fabricated from thick 14K yellow gold and gem-quality Persian turquoise. They look to be entirely HAND-WROUGHT. These are simply unbelievable quality work. There was no skimping on the gold in these; they are HEAVY, the entire back of the earring is thickly sheathed in gold. They have posts and a thick clip that flips up to lock them in the ear. The dangle at the bottom is .75" long and mounted to swing freely. The gold is a RICH BUTTERY yellow that looks like PURE gold; the turquoise is the intense hue of kingfisher feathers. They are marked 14K on the clips.
