I occasionally find one of these fine pins from the 1950s--costume jewelry exactly mimicking the 'real thing'--in this case, an Italian gold diamond and pearl lapel pin. It's very finely made from heavily gold plated base metal with marcasites and a genuine cultured pearl. This looks for all the world like a karat gold pin. Just 1.75" in diameter. Fine condition.
