Royal Copenhagen FLORA DANICA cup and saucer
Hand painted Royal Copenhagen cup and saucer in the exquisite "Flora Danica" pattern. The floral pattern encircles the entire cup and all the enamel is present. The cup has a wonderful vintage-shaped handle that also is decorated in a manner similar to the beaded decoration that encircles the cup. Both pieces are marked on their undersides; the Royal Copenhagen mark indicates it was made in 1950 and the name of the flower (Oscycoccus palustris Rupr) is written on the underside of the cup. These older "Flora Danica" pieces are hard to find especially in such mint condition. Cup: 2"(H); saucer: 5½"(diameter).

Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plate (1970)
Royal Copenhagen 1970 Christmas plate, entitled Christmas Rose and Cat (Julerose Og Kat). It comes with its original pamphlet (written in Danish, German, French and English), which gives the history of these collector plates and an interpretation of the artist's (Kai Lange) peaceful design of a cat next to a window and a blooming Christmas rose. The cat, warmly sitting inside, is seen looking out at the cold snowy winter scene, while the Christmas rose is getting light from the outside, enabling it to bloom beautifully!! The plate is distinctly marked "Royal Copenhagen Denmark", "KL" (the designer) and has the title printed on the back. Diameter: 7¼"
