Alice Harmon Shaw (1913-1994; Cape Elizabeth, ME)

Raised on a farm in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Alice Shaw put herself through the Portland School of Art (now the Maine College of Art). She later was a student at the University of California at La Jolla, California and also received instruction in composition from Alma Carlin. Residing in San Diego County, she has enjoyed successful one-woman shows. Her art is in private collections in England, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong and the USA.
