Art glass paperweight: rectangular-shaped upright crystal block with a laser sculpture of the Star of David and "Shalom" written in Hebrew above; beveled edges (photographed on a dark blue background). Height = 3". A new technology originally developed by the Russians for military purposes: to create each paperweight, an ultraviolet light is projected through the surface of the glass, focused on a tiny point, then fired. A minute particle of crystal is vaporized. Three-dimensional scenes are formed by thousands of controlled firings, while the surface of the glass remains unaltered. Made by Laser Light Creations. |
