Large Doulton motto pitcher with a motto on one side and a well-clad English gentleman (cavalier)on the other. The motto: "Now I have a sheep and a cow, everyone bids me good-morrow". Note that the handle, base and inner and outer lip of the pitcher are highly decorated.

| The piece has fine overall crazing and has a typical Doulton mark with "Royal Doulton, England" and a lion over a crown. Height: 8"; Diameter at base: 5". Unusual and hard to find piece! |
