We love the figures made by Ernst Bohne! Ernst Bohne Sons, Rudolstadt had a porcelain studio from 1901-1960s. He made lace figures in the Dresden style. Many of his figures were heavily glazed with brilliant colors, such as these are. These figure portray a gypsy man and woman measuring 5 1/4"w x 6 3/4"h. It dates c. 1920-30s. The man is playing a musical instrument, and the woman has her hand out for coins. They are either country beggers or gypsys. Excellent condition with rich glazes. |
