This early Copeland Spode plate dates c. 1851-1885. It measures 8 1/4".

It has a dark green ground with gold on the border which is covered with gilt decoration and lavish pearl and ruby jeweling. The work is just amazing! The inside border is a white and gold fishscale design. The center is a gold star with jewels on the points. Excellent condition with a minor scratch in the center green panel. See photo.
