We just acquired a wonderful collection of Asian boxes from a South Carolina collector. This is a miniature box shaped like a cube. It is from the Tonzgzhe Reign of the Qing Dynasty c. 1862-1873. It measures 1 1/8" square by 1" high. It is is a painting of a young nobel with his page riding on a leendary animal of good fortune called Xilun. Excellent condition. |
