This lovely Limoges set has an unusual gold anchor mark that we can not identify. It is beautiful quality and could be a Paris decorating mark. It was retailed by A. Schmidt & Sons, NYC and dates c. 1890s. The footed and paneled cup has a square handle. It measures 2 7/8" x 2 1/4"' the saucer is 4 1/2". The set has black cartouches framed in gold with a lush hand-painted pink rose inside. It is allover decorated with lavish gold and there is gold on the rims. Excellent condition. |
