It is unusual to have a cup and saucer with brown as an accent color. This lovely Limoges set was professionally decorated by Klingenburg, c. 1880s. The cup is 2 1/4" x 2 1/3"' the saucer is 4 3/4". The set has a chocolate brown triangular medallion with a hand-painted daisy and pink flower with raised two-tone gold leaves. It is a very interesting Aesthetic design. Excellent condition with gilt wear on rims. The handle has been regilded. |
