This wonderful and unusual Hutschenreuther cup and saucer was decorated by their fine decorating department in Dresden, Germany c. 1918-1945. Items with this gold mark are of exceptional quality. It also has the mark of the famous Bohemian glass maker and decorating studio Comte Harrach who won an award in the 1923 Paris Exposition for their fine enameling work. The two studios together produced an exceptional cup and saucer. The cup has a gold interior and is 3 1/2" x 1 1/2"; the saucer is 5 1/3". the set is a vivid royal blue ground with beautiful gold enameled figures of men and women in period dress alternating with gold trees. Excellent condition. |
