This gorgeous Dresden plate was decorated by Heufel & Co., c. 1900-1940 and is artist signed on the bottom right H. B. The plate is reticulated at the border and is 9 1/3". The border is forest green with raised gold decoration. The painting in the center is after the Austrian artist Hans Zatzka (1859-1945). It is excellent quality and is entitled "Zur Abkuhlung." It depicts a Victorian lady gardening with an adorable Cupid sitting on a marble table. Excellent condition. |
