Antique Art Nouveau cameo art glass vase with a continuous land and waterscape. Made in France by Muller Freres, late 19th - early 20th century.

Measures a little over 11 1/4 inches tall.

Long, baluster shape with inverted rim. Marvellous range of cased colour combinations - from clear to red and green, giving a raisin effect near the top. Dark
bottom. The vase is cut into a continuous frieze with long, sinuous trees in front of a background of mountains, forests and lakes. Quite rarely, the trees extend
into the darker bottom, which is extremely subtle in effect. The whole is done by a master artist and craftsman and is of the highest artistic and technical quality.

Signed Muller Fres Luneville in cameo.

Very good condition. No chips/cracks/damage/restoration of any sort found.

This vase came from an impressive Mid-West collection of art glass. |
