ART DECO DOG ASHTRAY Hand Forged BRASS
A handsome solid brass hand forged ashtray with the head of a dog in the center of the clover-shaped form. This wonderful piece was made by the Virgina Metalworks, which was started in 1890 by W. J. Loth in the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. This early example is marked with the '4 VM' mark and is in great condition. Diameter: 5 inches; depth: ¾ inch. Circa 1920s - 1930s.

VICTORIAN Advertising BRASS Potpourri HOLDER Ca.1865
Jar, pot pourri, advertising. This is unique! It's a Victorian rose petal holder, for drawer or bed pillow. Most probably an advertising give-away, it is made of brass and depicts Julius Caesar on the lid. On the base is marked: ''Hinks & WElls/ S. Gaffre/ Deposee (Patented) Mai, 1865''. The side is pierced in a lattice pattern. Height: 1 7/8''; diameter: 1 1/2''. Very good condition.

This is a vintage cast iron trivet with old black paint and an equally old floral decal. In the center is a decorative 'E', and on the sides is embossed, ''Enterprise M'F'G. Co. Phila. U.S.A.'' Length: 6 1/8''; width: 5 3/8''. Has three ¾'' long feet. Very good condition.

COPPER & Brass BED WARMER Germany
This oval bed warmer is made of copper with a brass screw-top. It would have been filled with water, heated over a stove or open fire, and then passed under the bed sheets for warming before retiring. Marked, ''ReinKunter Spezial''. Length: approximately 10 inches. Leave it as is, or polish it - it's up to you. Very good condition, except for one small dent (see photo).
