ART DECO Lustre PUPPIES BOX Germany
This adorable ceramic box features six pups on the lid, which form the handle. The bottom half of the box is embossed in a 'basket' pattern with a large 3-dimensional bow. The box is done in blue luster; the dogs are yellow & orange with black details. Interior of box is glazed white. Diameter: 3½''; height: 3¼''. There is a small(4.5mm), shallow chip on the inside rim of the box. This does not show from the outside, and is quite hard to see when the lid is off. Marked, ''Germany...

BULLDOG Pug MATCH HOLDER Japan
This porcelain match holder was hand painted in blue, peach, and pearl lustre. Each dog has a black bowtie collar. The base is the striker, and is embossed 'JAPAN' on the back edge, and on the bottom is stamped ''Made in Japan''. This could also be used as a pencil holder. Height: 3 inches; width: 3 inches. Very good condition - Circa 1930.

ART DECO DOG ASHTRAY Hand Forged BRASS
A handsome solid brass hand forged ashtray with the head of a dog in the center of the clover-shaped form. This wonderful piece was made by the Virgina Metalworks, which was started in 1890 by W. J. Loth in the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. This early example is marked with the '4 VM' mark and is in great condition. Diameter: 5 inches; depth: ¾ inch. Circa 1920s - 1930s.

PUPPY Dog PIN with RHINESTONES
Pin, enamel, rhinestones, dog. This puppy pin is so cute with the pink enamel coat. She has rhinestones on her back and ear, and a red stone for her eye. Height: 1 1/8 inches. There is some enamel loss on the very tip of her head, but it's so small an area it's hardly noticeable. All stones are present and bright.
