| This is an extremely lovely vintage humidor and matching pipe stand. Both pieces are made of ceramic and glazed in a dark avocado green which is textured with rope braid trim. Glossy black trimming sets off the pieces. On the back of each piece is a ship’s wheel design in the avocado green. Each piece has a cameo-like sailing ship design in white and black on the front. The humidor is 4 inches tall with a 5 inch inside diameter. It is very spacious. The lid, which holds a sponge for adding moisture to the humidor, has a cork lining for proper sealing. The pipe stand, which is 6 inches long and 4 inches tall, holds two pipes back to back. Both pieces are in excellent shape with two tiny chips on the base of the humidor. Although the pieces do not appear to have any marks, there are quite well done. These pieces will be a lovely addition to a nautical study or vintage pipe collection. |
