Beaded collars like this one were popular in the 1950s, attaching to shirt collars, blouses, or sitting on top of sweaters. This collar is completely covered with round pearl beads and clear/silver tube beads. And the backing is a cream colored satin. A hook and eye connector links the ends together. It is in wonderful condition. This choker is very clean and has no missing beads.
When laid out flat the opening is 7 inches wide and about 5 inches deep. Inside circumference when linked is approximately 12 ½ inches. It has a tag under the flap on the back that says: Hand Made a Top Hit Fashion Baare Beards Inc, Japan
