Crackle Glass
Creating Crackle Glass is a unique process that involves blowing two layers of glass. The first layer is the crackle glass which has a special technique applied to it so that the crackle design is created. The art piece and placed in the kiln a second time creating an outer or in some circumstances an inner layer of glass to hold the piece together. Creating Crackle Glass is a difficult process, but once it is complete you have a truly unique piece of art.

In America these balls have been marked in many ways. Witch balls, spirit balls, spirit catchers, friendship balls, gazing balls, wishing balls, and so on. Each having a little bit of home grown folklore attached to make the item unique or extra special.
