Some of the great detail in this figurine is in the facial reaction as well as concentrated areas of both painted & glazed areas along with unfinished fired areas to show skin tone. The figure’s dense structure as well as applied construction show excellent handwork complimented by the exceptional intricate detail work, again, concentrated in the facial expression. Even the hands and toes show attentive work of detail. The figure measures approximately 8.5 inches high. There are no cracks, chips or fractures. It is in very good to excellent condition. He has an open left hand that may have been holding a fishing pole but not there. The bottom is stamped with the number 48 as well as CHINA. 07pdp064 |
