Germany 3 man band
There are three pieces in this German band, each playing a different musical instrument. They are 4.25" tall and marked Germany on the back of each base. On the bottom, they are each inscribed with a number and the words Made in Germany. They are an intriguing group, each with different paint colors. No chips, cracks, no damage. Great paint! Excellent condition.

Friedel Man
Friedel man, marked "made in U S Zone, Germany", dates from the end of the second world war, or around 1945, but prior to the establishment of West Germany. He is 5" tall and in wonderful shape, except for some flaking on the base, a little of which extends to the bottom of the side stand. He is from their paper-machie line. The paint is excellent, and there are no chips.

Friedel School Boy
Friedel school boy is 6” tall and made of porcelain, rather than their normal paper maiche. On the base is the Friedel Stamp, stating that it’s handegemalt in Germany – or hand made in Germany. This would have been prior to WWII. Apparently it was not made for export. There is a little crazing on the base, but none elsewhere. It’s so detailed that the initials AF appear on his back pack, the multiplication problem of 1 X 1 appears on one side of his slate, while there’s a stick drawing on the other side. No chips, and in great
condition.

Figural Carter's Inx bottle - Germany
Here's a figural Carter's Inx bottle, made in pre-war Germany. It has a red circle made in Germany mark on the bottom, along with a stamp noting that a patent has been applied for. It's 3.5" tall and depicts a lady with blond hair and glasses, holding a rolling pin. Quite delightful! No chips or cracks, excellent paint! Carter's Inx embedded in design in the back.

Friedl Boy on Showshoes
Friedl Boy on Snowshoes is marked as Friedel, Germany, Handgemalt – or hand made. It was made prior to the second world war, as the stamp is not W. Germany. And the style, paint, and teensy crazing show that it was not made in modern Germany. This delightful figure is 5" tall and full of charm. There are no chips, and there are no repairs. He’s in excellent condition, and he’s sure to bring back fond memories of ski trips you’ve enjoyed.

German Monkey, musician
This elegant monkey, playing a musical instrument, has a round, gold ink Germany mark on his base. He also has a gold anchor on the back, near the base. It looks like it might be from Bohme Porcelain Factory which was in Brandenbourg, Germany from 1894 to 1915. Or it may have been made by someone entirely different, such as Dresden. It is a quality piece, with great detail. The monkey is 5.25" tall and in great condition. There are no chips or cracks. Could this be your lucky find of the day?? Maybe!
