American Pottery Bambi by Shaw American Pottery Bambi standing 4.5" tall and dates from the 1940s. The American Pottery Company was based in California, and it was started by Evan K Shaw, a one time employee of Vernon Kiln. In 1942, Vernon Kiln discontinued its Disney line and assigned their current contract to Shaw. Bambi is free of chips, cracks or any other damage. He’s unmarked but unmistakable. Royal Tara Swan Planter Royal Tara porcelain swan with shamrocks 4.5" tall and comes from Galway, Ireland. She’s trimmed in gold and has the Royal Tara mark on the base. There are no chips, no cracks, no damage of any kind on this beauty. She’s perfect!

German Pink Pig by water trough German Pink Pig by green water trough is 2.5" tall and free of chips, cracks or other damage. Pink pigs like this were made around the turn of the century. Unmarked pigs, like this one, are the oldest, made prior to 1890 when the McKinley Tariff Act required imports to be marked with the country of origin.

Hagen-Renaker Mama Country Mouse,
Hagen-Renaker County Mouse, Mama, is 3" tall. This mouse was produced at three different times: Fall 1952, Spring 1967, and Fall 1981. She’s long since lost her paper label, so there’s really no telling during which period she was produced. I have listed the date as 1981, when last produced, but could well be 1952 when first produced. Either way, she’s a winner! There are no chips, cracks or other damage. The painting is fantastic, with soft yellows, greens, pinks, and grays. Even the little tip of her nose is painted pink, and there is a very high gloss. She’s so dainty, and her little ears are so thin. You can’t help but love her.

Mortens Studio Miniature Collie Mortens Studio miniature collie is a tiny masterpiece that is 2" tall and 3" long. He has the Mortens Studio mark on the base. He is in excellent shape – from the tip of his tops to the top of his ears. There are no chips, cracks or crazing – a condition which is hard to find in Mortens Studio.

Beswick 3 Puppies Beswick Dogs – Three of them – are actually puppies, and they were first issued in 1941. They are 2" tall and are light golden-brown, with black shading on their heads, legs, and paws. Their tails are a soft off white. Their backs are a light golden-brown. This variation may be rare, as only dark brown puppies are shown in the Beswick Animals book by Charlton. Beswick England, along with 917, is incised in the base. They are free of chips, cracks or any other damage. Just a cute little trio of dogs, sticking together through thick or thin.

Lladro Wolf Hound #5356 Lladro Wolf Hound #5356 was produced only a few years – from 1986 – 1990. Now permanently retired, he is 4" tall and carries the Lladro mark on his base. Listed elsewhere on the net for $365, he’s listed here for only$180. He’s free of chips, cracks or other damage. In beautiful shape!

Dahl Jensen Spaniel #1133 Dahl Jensen Prince Charles Spaniel – Dahl Jensen Prince Charles Spaniel is 4" tall, sitting down. He carries the Dahl Jensen mark on the base, along with the number 1133. He’s also signed. Dahl Jensen started his own factory in Copenhagen in 1925, discontinued production in 1981, and closed in 1984. His dogs and other figurines are acclaimed as the best of Danish Porcelain. There are no chips, cracks or repairs on this spaniel. There is just the most delightful look on his face, with his expressive eyes and cute little pink/rose tongue.

Beswick lamb #936 Beswick lambs #936 is 3.25" tall and stamped Beswick England on its. This series was produced from 1941 to 1971. Based on the lamb’s mark, and on the details of its skin, with dark and light shading, this one was produced in the 1940s. There are no chips or cracks. It is in excellent condition.

Mortens Studio Bengal Tiger standing Mortens Studio Tiger is 12" long and 6" tall. The Mortens Studio sticker is on his tummy. He’s in excellent shape, with a little crazing and a few flakes on his head, shown in close-up pictures. There are no chips. Great attention has been given to detail, showing the whiskers, teeth, and pinkish/purple tongue. Perfect for your den, coffee table, showcase or present. He dates from around 1950 and is made from a plaster type material reinforced with metal.

Lefton bear cub - cook Here's a neat Lefton - with his hand in the honey jar! He's wearing a light blue chef's hat, and a light blue bib. He was prepared! Ceramic Arts Studio Dachshund standing Ceramic Arts Studio Dachshund standing, 3.5” long and 2.5” tall. This little fellow is shown in the Ceramic Arts Studio Collectors Association price guide as scarce. Although he is not marked, he is guaranteed to be Ceramic Arts, as shown on the tape from the CAS convention. He’s a darling, with his high gloss, winsome eyes, and curled tail which attaches to the top of his back. No chips, cracks or repairs. MINT!
