This plate measures nearly 8" across and is 5.75" from top to bottom. It is an excellent strike of a Baltimore & Ohio Rail Road train, done in brown, black, yellow, and maroon. The trim around the plate is painted green. The words "Baltimore & Ohio R.R. 1837" appear at the top, while the bottom says "Lafayette." The car following the engine says "880RR." It's well marked "Penbnsbury Pottery" on the bottom. There's a tiny bit of crazing, hardly noticeable, otherwise it's in great shape. There are no chips, cracks or repairs! Strong, excellent colors make it a desired piece for both Pennsbury collectors and train addicts. |
