This exciting pewter sculpture was designed by Don Polland, one of the most popular sculptors ever hired by Chilmark. It's 9" high and was the second registered owner Western special. (Only those who had purchased others could buy it.) It dates from 1984, and only 1394 were issued. This is #926. The pewter is in great shape, with no dents or rust, and there are no small nicks on the base. Unit Colors booked for $1160 in the 1991 First Edition of the Chilmark Collection put out by the Miniature Sculpture Association. The 1998 Edition of the Collectibles Market Guide & Price Index lists it up to $1500. My "whatever happened to the economy" price is $325.00. |
