Friedel school boy is 6” tall and made of porcelain, rather than their normal paper maiche. On the base is the Friedel Stamp, stating that it’s handegemalt in Germany – or hand made in Germany. This would have been prior to WWII. Apparently it was not made for export. There is a little crazing on the base, but none elsewhere. It’s so detailed that the initials AF appear on his back pack, the multiplication problem of 1 X 1 appears on one side of his slate, while there’s a stick drawing on the other side. No chips, and in great condition.
